About The Indiana Alpha Chapter

Sigma Alpha Epsilon has been on Franklin College's campus since 1892, making it one of the oldest fraternities in Indiana. Nationally, Sigma Alpha Epsilon was founded on March 9, 1856 at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. SAE is also North America’s largest social fraternity with more than 304,000 initiated members.

Our members are involved in a number of athletic teams including football, basketball, and soccer. We also have members active in Interfraternity Council, Franklin College Radio (WFCI 89.5), Student Congress, Chi Beta Phi National Science Honorary, the Boy's and Girl's Club and Special Olympics. We are currently the three-time defending Grizzly Grand Prix Bike Race champions and have won Greek Week two out of the last three years. Each spring we hold a formal dinner and dance at the Embassy Suites North in Indianapolis.

Each August, the Indiana Alpha chapter sends three gentlemen to the John O. Moseley Leadership school. This is a priveledge only SAE's, around the nation, get to experience. For more information about leadership school...
